Burst pipes, sewage coming up a drain, a water heater pouring onto the floor: these will not wait until Monday. We take urgent calls from 7 AM to 11 PM every day, including weekends, and we talk you through shutting off the water so damage stops while we are on the way.
The causeWhy it happens
Most plumbing emergencies fall into a few categories: a burst or split supply pipe, a main sewer backup, a failed water heater leaking from the tank, an overflowing toilet that will not stop, or a gas smell. The first few minutes matter most. Knowing where your main water shutoff is, and how to close the stop valve at each fixture, can turn a flood into a small cleanup.
DiagnosisWhat we check first
- 01Shut off the water source
- We walk you through closing the main or the fixture stop on the phone.
- 02Confirm safety
- If gas is involved, leave the house and call the gas utility first. If water is near electrical outlets, keep clear.
- 03Find the failure
- Once we arrive, we locate the burst, backup or leak and stop it.
- 04Repair or stabilize
- We make a permanent repair when possible, or stabilize the situation and return to finish.

Local conditionsEmergency Plumbing on the west side of San Antonio
Our hours are 7 AM to 11 PM daily. If a pipe bursts overnight, close the main shutoff, usually in the meter box near the street, and call us when we open. The February 2021 freeze taught a lot of San Antonio homeowners where their shutoff was the hard way. Find yours before you need it.

QuestionsCommon questions about emergency plumbing
Are you open 24 hours?
No. We answer from 7 AM to 11 PM every day, including weekends and holidays. Outside those hours, shut off the main water valve and call when we open.
Where is my main water shutoff?
Usually in the meter box near the street, and sometimes on a valve where the line enters the house or in the garage. We can help you find it.
Should I call the gas company or a plumber for a gas smell?
The gas company first, from outside the house. Once the area is safe, we can make the repair.
